How The Hyve came to be…
It was born out of friendship and a mutual passion for connection.
Our Story
Lifelong New Yorker, Ashley, and New York newbie, Marin, then both new moms desperately trying to not act desperate for mom friends, met at none other than a kids music class in Madison Square Park.
The duo didn’t know it yet but this music class would be the start of lifelong friendships.
The five moms coined themselves the “music moms” and the group text caught on like wildfire. From planning dinners to asking about how to handle a diaper rash, the new moms found solace in their new friendships.
A few stroller walks, lunches and coffee dates later, Ashley and Marin decided they wanted all parents to experience the meaningful friendships they had built. And so The Hyve came to be.
We know a thing or two about just how isolating parenthood can be. Sure, we learned a lot from books, Instagram, Zoom info sessions and specialists, but the one thing we really needed was friends facing the same highs and lows we were.
